Feel Good For The Holidays

Admittedly, during the holidays, one can be confronted with challenging personal interactions. Consider pre-paving those experiences.

First, at the core of being human is the fact that each of us just wants to feel good. If you accept this premise, then the most important thing is FOR YOU TO FEEL GOOD!

Assuming feeling good is your sole focus, chances are you will minimize your own potentially negative energy, choosing to look past comments or behaviors of others by taking the “high road.” (You can tell your ego that by doing so you have “won” because you have protected your own personal “feel-good” and high vibration. It is true!)

Now, pre-paving is just imagining your interaction(s), and who you want to be within them, before they occur. Assume nothing has changed with the other people while imagining these interaction(s).  Imagine them in as much detail as possible.

As you do so, notice YOUR internal “triggers,” (things that set you off.) Triggers shut off personal awareness, causing one to react out of habit and defensiveness.

Decide to be aware of these triggers. Now determine who you want to be in the situation before it happens. Remember, you want to feel good. Everything else is really a moot point. What does that look like for you?

When it comes time for the event(s), go into it with a sense of curiosity. Be, not only a participant, but an observer. Notice how everyone is behaving.  Observe yourself within the interaction(s). This helps you to remain “present” and aware.

Since you have rehearsed, you will likely notice if you are being triggered. Since you notice the trigger, you can now consciously respond how you have chosen to “be” within the situation as opposed to reacting out of unconscious habit.  Note, you may still feel the trigger sensations, but you do not have to follow the trigger.

You may surprise yourself and others when you are not “sucked in” to the energy of the situation. Your awareness keeps you above it as the observer. You have chosen a different path.

For added help, ask your Spirit Team to be with you. Ask them to remind you of your desire to feel good and who you want to be.

Maintaining your own personal high vibration not only feels good to you, but brings up the “feel good” energy for everyone in attendance. You are literally letting your Light shine through conscious will.

As you begin this practice, you may find that you are only able to hold your higher vibration for a period of time. If you feel your vibration falling, it is ok to excuse yourself and regroup. It is also fine to politely leave after a specified period of time that you have also pre-thought. You may even let everyone know of your plans when you arrive so it is not a surprise to them.

As you continue this practice, triggers will dissipate as your conscious awareness replaces habitual patterns with the behaviors of who you have chosen to be.

Choose to feel good for the holidays and thereafter.

You are the Light of The World! Let your Light shine!

Here we go! Woo-hoo!
